ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Administrative Assistant of STARS is responsible for establishing and accomplishing business objectives while working under the instruction of the producing director. He/she will report to the producing director frequently, in order to communicate the progress of the business. The Administrative Assistant should have an interest in theater management and/or children’s theater and should be aware that this job is a long-term, year-round position. 

Examples of Duties:

  • Oversight of advertising, marketing, & public relations

  • Answer telephone calls & emails in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

  • availability during camp operation hours (M-F 9-4pm)

  • 10-30 hours per week

  • must be 18 years or older & have reliable transportation to the theater

STARS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

STARS is happy to announce the addition of an internship program geared toward both past campers and new faces who have piqued an interest in any of the following fields: Arts Administration, Marketing, Costuming, Scenic Design, Sound Design. (Interns must be 14 years or older)

 

Arts Administration:

The arts administration intern at STARS would work closely with the Producing Director and Associate Producer in executing daily camp operations. Knowledge of Gmail and Google docs is a must! Interest in management and a desire to learn the inner workings of a performing arts camp is pivotal. The prospective intern needs to be available during camp operating hours. 

 

Marketing:

The marketing intern at STARS will be responsible for keeping the company website up to date, overseeing social media accounts, and helping to execute advertising campaigns. This position can be done remotely.

 

Production Interns (including Costuming, Scenic Design & Sound Design):

Production interns will have a minimal weekly time commitment, typically between 5-10 hours per week prior to performance week. During performance week hours may vary. Production Interns will answer to the Stage Manager and be responsible for taking notes and making necessary changes.
