2009 Production

Calling all you Grease Monkeys and Beauty School Dropouts
Join us as we roll up our sleeves and put on our poodle skirts for
Shayna Turk's Academy of Rising STARS
9th production:

Grease is the word!

Our camp offers children a theatrical experience they will never forget. In addition, STARS raises self-confidence and self- esteem of each child that participates. All parts are multi-cast to ensure that every child's' abilities are utilized. This summer's session will include training in voice, dance, characterization, improvisation and set design.

Grease is the time!

Auditions will take place on Saturday, June 20th, 2009. Please call or e-mail Shayna to schedule an appointment time. Each audition lasts approximately 15 minutes and will consist of each child singing a one to two minute song of their choice. We get booked up fast so make sure to sign up as early as possible!

• Camp begins on June 22 and continues Mondays thru Friday each week.
• Each camp day is from 10:30 to 2:30 with a 30 minute lunch break in between.
• Starting on July 8, camp will be moved to the actual theater in order to prepare for the actual shows.
• The shows are on July 16 at 7pm, July 17 at 7 pm, July 18 at 7 pm, and July 19 at 2pm.
• In order for you child to particpate in STARS 9th production, they may not miss more than 5 days.
• In addition, no dress rehersal or show dates may be missed.

If you are interested in signing your child(s) up for this production, please contact Shayna before the audition date. The cost for this session is $350, and there are many discounts that are offered. For each new friend that you bring, you will receive $15 off your child's tuition. This is the same for each additional family member. Also, if you sign up before March 30, you will receive $50 off your child's tuition, and if you sign up before April 30, you will receive $25 off.
